Production processes are the soul of an organization and an organization’s overall performance and effectiveness primarily depends on the performance of each individual processes in the entire supply chain. Greater demands in the whole supply chain with higher expectations of products require robust processes. Moreover, as the time span from conceptualization of new product to its delivery to end point is becoming shorter, there is a greater need for the processes to be efficient and faster. This in turn places greater demands on the organizations involved, their work processes and their personnel. Therefore, organization’s processes are to be continuously monitored and improved.
